It is a high quality detergent oil that meets or exceeds American Petroleum Institute requirements SJ. It meets or exceeds performance requirements of all OEM engines (Toro, Briggs and Stratton, Kohler, Honda and Tecumseh). The oil protects the engine by not only lubricating, but also cooling, cleaning and sealing internal moving parts. No additional additives are needed or recommended.
